Asia-Pacific fibre infrastructure company Superloop has released a progress report on its deployment of the INDIGO submarine cable, noting that it has completed marine surveys, cable system manufacturing and factory testing at INDIGO-West and INDIGO-Central, and has commenced drilling for the landing of both sections of the cable in Sydney
.
According to the plan, the Pace landing will be completed in early September and land in Sydney in mid-October, with a final merger
of INDIGO-Central in early December this year.
Drew Kelton, CEO of Superloop, commented: "The construction of one of our largest infrastructure projects, the INDIGO International Submarine Cable System, is well underway

If weather conditions permit, it may be done earlier or even before the end of the current financial year

The two submarine cables will span 9,000 kilometres and connect Sydney, Perth, Singapore and Jakarta

Once the Indigo submarine cable system is complete, Superloop says the initial design capacity reaches 4.
5Tbps, which will increase over time, as a dual fiber pair, its total design capacity can reach 18Tbps
