Sodium silicate has great use value.

The characteristics and precautions of using sodium silicate as a cleaning fluid are as follows:

(1) The sodium silicate aqueous solution is strongly alkaline, which is close to the aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide

(2) The silicic acid hydrolyzed by sodium silicate is suspended in the solution in a colloidal state, which has the effect of dispersing and stabilizing the dirt, and can prevent the redeposition of the dirt on the surface

(3) Due to the relatively strong alkalinity of sodium silicate, it has different degrees of irritation to human skin, especially sodium orthosilicate

(4) In neutral and alkaline media, sodium silicate has a certain corrosion inhibitory effect on certain metals.

(5) Sodium silicate solution has good wetting and penetration performance, and can maintain the dispersion state of dirt

(6) Sodium silicate solution encounters strong acid to generate free silicic acid, which is easy to adhere to the surface to be cleaned and becomes a water-insoluble film, which is not easy to remove

After the surface of the equipment is cleaned with alkaline cleaning fluid, the residue of various cleaning additives on the surface will affect the quality of the subsequent process.
