    China Petroleum & Chemical News Network reported that according to Anadolu News on April 28, according to the annual report released by the International Liquefied Natural Gas Importers Group (GIIGNL) on Tuesday, as of the end of 2020, the global LNG tanker fleet has increased by 41 vessels.


    In 2020, the fleet includes 43 floating storage and regasification units and 58 vessels with a volume of less than 50,000 cubic meters.

    The operating capacity of ships in service reaches 93.


    In 2020, the average spot rent for a 160,000 cubic meter LNG carrier is 59,300 USD/day, while the average rent in 2019 is 69,300 USD/day.


    A total of 40 LNG fleet orders have been added globally, including 7 FSRUs and 2 vessels of less than 50,000 cubic meters.


    Last year's total orders accounted for 24% of existing LNG carriers, of which 72 orders will be delivered in 2021.

    The global LNG tanker fleet rose to 642 at the end of 2020 with the addition of 41 vessels, according to the annual report of the International Group of LNG Importers (GIIGNL) on Tuesday.

    Total orders last year represented 24% of the existing LNG carrier fleet, 72 of which were on order for delivery in 2021.
