On December 29, 2016, the China Electric Power Research Institute successfully completed the special handover test of all 18 voltage transformers in the UHV Shengli Station, providing strong technical and equipment support
for the construction of UHV projects in extremely cold areas.
On December 22, 2016, the China Electric Power Research Institute organized elite troops to go to the UHV Shengli Station in Xilinhot, Inner Mongolia, and carried out the 1000 kV UHV voltage transformer handover test for the first time under extremely cold conditions
.
The testers worked uninterruptedly for more than 9 hours a
day in an environment with an average temperature of minus 25 degrees Celsius.
For 8 consecutive days, all test personnel stick to their posts, complete each test step
in safety specifications and excellence.
The test adopts a self-developed set of on-site calibration equipment for voltage transformers, which is mainly composed of
extremely cold power frequency 50 Hz resonant power supply, 1000 kV standard equipment, precision calibration instruments and their accessories.
The test ensures the accuracy required
by standard transformers under extremely cold conditions through auxiliary heating and integrated control of sulfur hexafluoride gas density and pressure.
With imported ultra-low temperature insulating oil and structural tolerance control to solve the power equipment due to low temperature may occur transmission, oil leakage, insulation strength decline and other test hidden dangers, a one-time molding of the reactor insulation cylinder with climbing skirt can prevent the surface of the equipment ice discharge
in extremely cold and blizzard.
The extreme cold calibration instrument, power cable, and data acquisition line are specially processed to ensure the accuracy and reliability
of the comparison data at minus 40 degrees Celsius.
