The Inner Mongolia Wuhai PV Frontrunner Demonstration Base is expected to develop 500MW in 2017

After the planning of the advanced photovoltaic technology power generation base in the coal mining subsidence area of Wuhai City was approved by the National Energy Administration and became one of the bases approved by the "leader" plan of the photovoltaic industry in Inner Mongolia, the Wuhai Electric Power Bureau took the initiative to contact relevant government departments to ensure the construction progress and quality of the base development in an orderly and efficient manner, and fully supported the smooth implementation
of the "leader" plan of the photovoltaic industry in Wuhai City.

According to the progress of electricity market development and energy structure adjustment, under the premise of implementing market consumption conditions, the total installed capacity of the photovoltaic leading technology base in Wuhai coal mining subsidence area is planned to be 1.
3 million kilowatts, and the planning period is from 2016 to 2019, which will be implemented
in three years.
According to the planning of Wuhai Development and Reform Commission, in 2017, it is expected to invest 500,000 kilowatts of large-scale photovoltaic capacity in development and construction, respectively 250,000 kilowatts in Haibo Bay area, 100,000 kilowatts in Wuda area and 150,000 kilowatts
in Hainan area 。 To this end, on the basis of research and discussion with Wuhai Development and Reform Commission in terms of access scheme and grid structure, the Planning and Development Department of the bureau made a special report to Inner Mongolia Electric Power Company according to the regional load development and project access demand in combination with the overall development plan of the power grid, conducted a preliminary discussion on photovoltaic access and consumption in Wuhai and other related matters, and coordinated with the Inner Mongolia Electric Power Design Institute to demonstrate the preliminary access scheme of the power boost access system generated after the completion of each photovoltaic power station

It is reported that the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration will arrange a special construction scale every year to organize the construction of photovoltaic power generation leading technology base, guiding the progress of photovoltaic technology and the reduction
of cost and electricity prices.
During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, Wuhai City plans to implement 34.
7 square kilometers of geological environment treatment projects for the construction of photovoltaic bases, integrating development factors such as lighting, land and power grid in mining areas, effectively using idle abandoned land in mining subsidence areas to develop clean energy, and expanding industrial development space

in promoting the restoration and governance of the ecological environment and the sound development of the economy and ecology in Wuhai City.
