Recently, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has publicly notified the problems found in the normalized review of the environmental impact assessment documents for the third quarter of 2020 and their handling opinions

According to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, after the intelligent check of 15,461 EIA documents approved by local approval departments at all levels and the key review of 132 EIA documents, it was found that 12 EIA documents had problems of varying degrees
.
Among them, 9 had quality problems such as incomplete analysis of environmental impact factors, incomplete calculation of pollution source intensity, and non-compliance with relevant regulations in monitoring locations; 3 had regulatory problems such as not attaching the environmental assessment document preparation unit and preparation personnel as required
In accordance with relevant regulations, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued notifications, criticisms, scores and notifications to the compilation units and staff involved in the 12 environmental impact assessment documents
.
In addition, the review also found that 9 EIA documents were suspected of having serious quality problems.
According to statistics, since 2020, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has put forward opinions on the quality of 76 EIA documents, and a total of 65 units and 73 people have been taken dishonest score management measures; local eco-environmental departments at all levels are related to the quality of EIA documents.
