On December 11, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the Draft of Lithium-ion Battery Industry Specification Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the "Conditions"), clarifying the access rules
for lithium-ion battery companies and products.

The "Conditions" is intended to be implemented in 2015, and the scope of management is applicable to upstream and downstream enterprises in the lithium-ion battery industry, including cathode materials, negative electrode materials, separators, electrolytes (including electrolytes), batteries and other enterprises, and projects that do not meet the requirements shall not be established
    .
Moreover, enterprises and projects that do not meet the requirements of the normative conditions should also meet the requirements
of this specification as soon as possible through mergers and reorganization, technological transformation and other means under the guidance of the national industrial policy in accordance with the requirements of industrial transformation and upgrading.

If implemented, the "Lithium-ion Battery Industry Specification Conditions" will erect the threshold for lithium-ion battery production to avoid the continuous development
of the industry's "scattered, small and chaotic" trend.
