Recently, the team from the Heavy Oil Research Institute of Shengli Petroleum Engineering Technology Research Institute and the team from Xi'an Jiaotong University jointly held a video exchange meeting on the progress of the project "Basic Research on the Technology of Underground In-situ Upgrading of Heavy Oil Based on Nuclear Energy"
    .

On the basis of achieving certain results for the subject, the next step of the operation plan and plan was formed, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality operation of the subject

The two parties reported their respective research progress and results
    .

At present, the effects and laws of different viscosity, temperature, pressure, oil-to-water ratio, time, catalysts and other reaction conditions on the cracking and upgrading reaction of heavy oil have been completed.

"Basic Research on Underground In-situ Upgrading Technology of Heavy Oil Based on Nuclear Energy Heating" is a project of Shengli Oilfield in 2020.

The docking summary meeting of this stage formed the guidance for the next research of the subject: further optimize the process of heavy oil cracking and upgrading at high temperature plus catalyst; Research on cracking and upgrading under medium conditions; continue to deepen the experiment of in-situ cracking and upgrading of heavy oil, and summarize and improve the technical system based on a series of experiments
