Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology is the first professional scientific research institution engaged in comprehensive petrochemical research in my country with world-class standards.

Based on this, the two parties deepen pragmatic cooperation in the field of scientific research, academies and enterprises work together to build an innovation consortium, relying on the "innovation-driven strategic fulcrum" of the Tianjin base, work together to create a new form of "pre-factory and backyard" integration of production and research, and provide mature technologies for the entire industry.

It is understood that the Tianjin Scientific Test Base of Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology is adjacent to the Tianjin Petrochemical Plant.
It is planned to be constructed in two phases.
The first phase focuses on the construction of a polyolefin pilot test center, including 10 sets of polyolefin polymerization pilot plants, 3 sets of polyolefin catalyst pilot plants, 1 set of special elastomer pilot plant; the second phase of construction includes chemical process strengthening center, ethylene technology center, fine chemical technology center, environmental protection technology center, etc.
According to the construction period, it is estimated that by 2022 , the main facilities of the first phase of the project will be put into use.
