The Marine Transmission Technology Research Center of State Grid Zhoushan Power Supply Company, which undertook this test task, has been named the State Grid Corporation's Marine Transmission Engineering Technology Laboratory and has become a domestic laboratory with submarine cable testing capabilities

It is reported that the domestic 500 kV submarine cable after passing the test will first be applied to the
500 kV Zhoushan and mainland interconnection project.
The project is the largest and most difficult 500 kV cross-city interconnection project in the history of Zhejiang power grid construction, with a new submarine cable route of 17 kilometers, the submarine cable will use domestic 500 kV submarine cable, and after completion, it will become a world-class AC 500 kV polyethylene insulated submarine cable project
