Recently, the world's largest nuclear power welding rotter independently developed by Shanghai Electric was made at Shanghai Pudong Lingang Factory and will be shipped to the site of the million-kilowatt nuclear power project in Karachi
, Pakistan.
It is understood that the contract for units 2 and 3 in Karachi was signed at the end of 2013, and the main equipment and auxiliary equipment of the conventional island were provided
by Shanghai Electric.
The project is the first time that China has exported three generations of million-grade nuclear power units
overseas.
According to the contract requirements, the nuclear power low-pressure rotor will adopt a welding rotator for the first time, which is also the first time that the million-grade nuclear power welding rotor is exported overseas
.
The million-class nuclear welding rotator has the advantages
of low cost and more flexible start-up and load.
The breakthrough of this technology has effectively solved many problems
such as difficult forging of the whole forging rotor and difficulty in guaranteeing the delivery time.
Shanghai Electric's first million-grade nuclear power welding rotor began assembly and welding in February 2017, and officially entered the cold working stage
after 5 months of welding.
The rotor weighs about 280 tons and is 13 meters long, making it the largest rotor ever processed at the power station's Lingang plant and currently has mass production capacity
