Total supplies solar energy to Singapore LNG terminal

China Petroleum & Chemical News Net, according to World Natural Gas News on April 29: Total said that the company has begun to provide solar energy to the Singapore LNG terminal operated by Singapore Liquefied Natural Gas (SLNG).

Total said that the 600-kilowatt photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the terminal building is expected to generate 800 MWh/year of electricity, which is equivalent to the electricity demand of about 200 households in Singapore.

The project is operated by Total Solar Distributed Power Generation (DG), a subsidiary of Total.

TOTAL SUPPLIES SOLAR TO SINGAPORE LNG TERMINAL

Total has started providing solar power to the Singapore LNG terminal, which is operated by Singapore LNG Corp (SLNG), the French major said on April 29.

The 600-kW photovoltaic system is mounted onto the roofs of the terminal's buildings and is expected to produce 800 MWh/year of power, which is the equivalent of the electricity needs of around 200 households in Singapore, Total said.

The project is operated by Total Solar Distributed Generation (DG), a unit of Total.
