Toyota China announced on October 24 that the groundbreaking ceremony for Toyota's fuel cell R&D and production project (phase I) was held
in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Toyota said that this project is an important strategic measure
for Toyota's hydrogen fuel cell field to introduce and promote hydrogen fuel cell technology in China.
The main body of the project is composed of United Fuel Cell System R&D (Beijing) Co.
and Huafeng Fuel Cell Co.
, which will build a fuel cell system production line, testing line and R&D center to produce fuel cell system products and carry out fuel cell system related research and development work
Toyota also said that the company's fuel cell production will be based on the concept of environmental protection, using Toyota's production method to create an intelligent production system to flexibly respond to market demand
The completion of the project will drive the healthy and rapid development of the hydrogen energy industry, effectively promote the promotion of fuel cell vehicles, and accelerate the realization of "hydrogen energy society" and "environmental protection mobile society"

Toyota said that based on the Chinese market demand, the two companies have launched two products
to the market.
Both products achieve the industry's highest power density and ultra-long endurance of
more than 30,000 hours.
