    On April 13, the two technologies of "CM catalyst technology development and industrial application" and "complex magnesium alkoxide carrier and series of high-performance polypropylene catalyst development" of Beijing Chemical Research Institute passed the appraisal of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Group Corporation


    The "CM catalyst technology development and industrial application" project jointly completed by Beihua Institute, Yanshan Petrochemical and Catalyst Company solved the problem of easy yellowing in the production of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene through catalyst improvement and process improvement


    Beihua Institute has independently developed a composite magnesium alkoxide carrier and five high-performance polypropylene catalysts with different compositions and uses: BCM-100H, BCM-200, BCM-300, BCM-400 and BCU, which have been successfully applied to Horizone process, Unipol process polymerization The propylene plant has produced high rubber phase content impact copolymer polypropylene, low ash polypropylene, high melting index polypropylene and other products


    In the next step, Beihua Institute will continue to give full play to the advantages of the complete R&D innovation chain, strengthen the cooperation of "industry-university-research", accelerate the R&D and industrial application promotion of high-performance polyolefin catalysts, and contribute to accelerating the development of polyolefin catalysts with independent intellectual property rights of Sinopec
