Lithium sulfur (li-s) battery is regarded as one of the most promising high-capacity storage systems due to its high theoretical specific capacity and energy density, low cost and environmental friendly advantages However, the shuttle effect of polysulfides in li-s batteries often leads to a series of problems, such as the loss of sulfur active substances, fast capacity decline, poor cycle life and so on, which seriously hinders the commercial application of li-s batteries How to effectively limit the shuttle effect of polysulfides to greatly improve the stability of li-s battery and the utilization of active material sulfur has become one of the hot spots of current research Wang Ruihu, research group of State Key Laboratory of structural chemistry, Fujian Institute of physical architecture, Chinese Academy of Sciences, combined with the previous research progress in heterogeneous catalysis of porous organic polymers, as well as the characteristics and current situation in limiting the shuttle effect of polysulfides, was invited to publish a report entitled "porus organic polymers for polysulfite trading in" on adv funct Mater "Lithium sulfur batteries" (DOI: 10.1002/adfm 201707597) The first author of this paper is Cheng Zhibin, a doctoral student, and the corresponding author is Wang Ruihu, a researcher, and Li Xiaoju, a professor of Fujian Normal University In this review, firstly, the research status of cathode materials for li-s batteries, the existing problems and some main solutions are summarized, with emphasis on covalent organic framework, covalent triazine framework, porous organic framework, hypercrosslinked porous polymer and imidazolium based ionic polymer The characteristics of isoporous organic polymers and their advantages in limiting polysulfide shuttle This paper summarizes the important achievements of porous organic polymer in limiting the shuttle transfer of polysulfide, expounds the methods of improving the performance of lithium sulfur battery through the design and synthesis of porous organic polymer, and looks forward to the application prospect of porous organic polymer in lithium sulfur battery, which is of great significance to the development of high performance cathode materials for lithium sulfur battery.
