On April 7, Xi Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of DCE, stated at the "2021 China Chemical Industry (Derivatives) Conference" that this year is the beginning of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and DCE will focus on building a world-class The objective of the derivatives exchange is to focus on the two major functions of price discovery and hedging, focusing on the three main lines of product development, technology drive, and ecosystem construction, and solidly promote the integration of futures and spot, on- and off-market collaboration, and domestic and overseas connections.
Xi Zhiyong told a reporter from the Securities Daily that DCE will continue to expand product tools, accelerate the listing of container capacity futures and ethylene glycol and styrene options, continue to deepen the listed products, and increase inspection-free polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, and polypropylene.
According to Xi Zhiyong, while developing the on-site market, DCE will promote the coordinated development of the on-site and off-site markets, study and implement the development plan for the off-site market of liquefied petroleum gas and other varieties, continuously enrich the varieties and tools of chemical off-site trading, and explore and expand the off-site platform.
The petrochemical industry is a pillar industry of the national economy, a key sector of DCE's product layout and an important field serving the real economy.
Xi Zhiyong said that the continuous maturation and improvement of the chemical derivatives market of DCE has contributed to the high-quality development of China's petrochemical industry under the complex and changeable situation:
