China News Service, Taizhou, April 15 (Fan Yubin, Wang Danfeng, Cao Qionglei) The reporter learned from Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province on the 15th that Dachen Island took the lead in building a demonstration project for the island’s “green hydrogen” integrated energy system in the country.

Dachen Island is located in the southeastern ocean of Taizhou Bay, along the coast of central Zhejiang.

"The land lease agreement for the "Green Hydrogen" integrated energy system demonstration project on Dachen Island has been signed a few days ago, and the project is expected to be put into operation before the end of December 2021.

It is reported that Dachen Island has innovatively explored the integrated development of multiple businesses of power supply, heating, hydrogen supply and oxygen supply, providing a demonstration for renewable energy hydrogen production and storage, hydrogen energy multi-coupling and high-efficiency interconnection applications, and creating a zero-carbon comprehensive functional model.

According to reports, the "Green Hydrogen" integrated energy system demonstration project landing on Dachen Island will help promote the local consumption of renewable energy and optimize the power flow of the island's power grid.

Tourism and aquaculture are the two pillar industries of Dachen Island.

The reporter learned that Dachen Island will further expand the use of hydrogen-fueled buses and cars in the future, increase the utilization of clean energy, explore multiple energy utilization modes on the island, and build a "carbon neutral" demonstration island, which will be built with "green hydrogen".

In the next stage, Dachen Island will continue to conduct in-depth research on hydrogen utilization system safety prevention and control measures, 100-kilowatt hydrogen utilization system construction and test technology, fully explore application scenarios, and create a multi-win hydrogen energy ecosystem.
