PacBio and Berry Genomics Announce Collaboration to Bring Long-Read Desktop Sequencers to the Chinese Clinical Market

11, 2022 (Global News) -- PacBio (NASDAQ: PACB, China's leading developer of high-quality, high-precision sequencing platforms) and China's leading clinical genomics and life sciences company Berry Genomics today announced a collaboration to provide PacBio long-read sequencing technology for the Chinese clinical market .
PacBio will acquire Omniome, a developer of short-read long sequencing, for US$800 million

In addition, PacBio also said that it will expand its cooperation with Invitae to develop a production-scale HiFi sequencing platform, which is expected to include technology from Omniome .
