Our reporter Yang Xiaojing
A few days ago, the China Tea Circulation Association released the "2022 China Spring Tea Production and Marketing Situation Report" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report")
Production side - quality remains stable, output is stable and slightly decreased
The "Report" shows that in 2022, the weather conditions in spring will be generally suitable
This spring, there is an early recovery, and there is no extreme cold wave to cool the weather, which is very conducive to the growth of tea trees
It is worth mentioning that in recent years, the production cost of spring tea has continued to increase
The "Report" shows that after the Spring Festival holiday in February, most parts of the country are in a low-risk state, and the flow of tea pickers is relatively smooth, which can basically meet production needs, and there is no large-scale shortage
Spring is the most important production season for China's tea industry
Sales side - offline market is deserted, online growth is limited
In terms of sales, the overall performance was less than satisfactory
The sales volume of tea greens increased steadily
Finished tea trades opened higher and moved lower
Due to the wait-and-see mentality of tea merchants, the market transaction volume and transaction volume have decreased.
According to the famous tea picking index of the China Tea Industry Index, from the beginning of March to the end of April, the price of finished tea in most tea-producing areas has increased by different degrees compared with last year
Due to the impact of the epidemic, during the peak season of spring tea sales, the flow of people blocked the offline market, and the logistics blocking made the goods unable to arrive at the consumer terminal in time
Faced with the coldness of the offline market, each production area continued to increase support for online sales, focusing on e-commerce sales, organizing tea companies to connect with e-commerce platforms such as JD.
At the same time, China's tea export achieved a "good start"
Although the overall spring tea market is cold and the sales volume of famous green tea has declined, in general, after the epidemic is over, domestic tea sales in China will continue to remain stable, and export sales are still expected to hit a new high
For the next stage of work, the "Report" suggests that the entire industry should take a multi-pronged approach and take multiple measures simultaneously, focusing on all links in the industrial chain, especially the terminal sales link, continue to exert efforts, effectively stimulate consumption potential, promote circulation consumption, and at the same time make up for it as soon as possible.
The "Report" recommends that the industry's production should be "stable", and the sales should focus on tapping potentials, expanding demand, and promoting sales, and pay close attention to the consumption rebound opportunities brought about by the earlier shift in demand
.
In addition, while continuing to maintain traditional offline channels, enterprises should focus on the development of online channels, actively explore new marketing models such as e-commerce sales, live broadcast delivery, and experiential consumption, and vigorously promote online digital transformation.
The tea sales "combination punch" is played in the way of accelerating the fusion
.
