    Li Bin's research group, Shanghai Institute of Immunology, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, cooperated with Tong Xuemei's research group and Wang Gang's research group, and found that insulin signaling can directly regulate the adaptive differentiation of different subtypes of regulatory T cells (Treg) in adipose tissue Development and function

    Treg cells residing in adipose tissue are essential to maintain the body's glucose and lipid metabolism homeostasis.


    Further studies have found that CD73hi and ST2hi adipose tissue resident Treg cell subtypes share some TCR clones, suggesting that there is a mutual transformation of cell states between subtypes


    This work established the developmental trajectory model of two different cell subtypes of Treg resident in adipose tissue by insulin signaling, and revealed how insulin signaling regulates the dynamic changes and physiological functions of different subtypes of Treg resident in adipose tissue in physiological and pathological environments.


    Researcher Li Bin said that the discovery provides new ideas and new methods for clinical immunotherapy of patients with severe insulin resistance diabetes
