The Colombian "Securities" issued an article on June 15 to summarize the achievements of Colombia's agricultural and animal husbandry exports in the past two years

The article stated that Colombia’s export product structure has long been dominated by mineral resources.
The export of petroleum, coal and ferronickel is the main force in foreign exchange earning, accounting for 70% of all export items; the main export agricultural products include only coffee, flowers, bananas, sugar and palm.

In 2018, Colombia launched its export product diversification strategy and actively promoted the signing of free trade agreements.
So far, Colombia has signed 17 free trade agreements with 65 countries and regions around the world.
The export diversification strategy has begun to show results: A total of 40 sanitary access permits for 29 agricultural and livestock products were granted to 19 new markets, and non-traditional agricultural products such as avocados, orchids, and green peppers were also exported to more countries for the first time
