Researchers from the University of Melbourne recently designed an AI biometric mirror that can detect and show personality traits and physical attractiveness based on only a person's face photo, analyzing up to 14 personality traits.
said the system is the world's first.
the system is called a biometric mirror.
when someone stands in front of a mirror, a series of facial features are detected in seconds and user data is compared to thousands of photos of faces provided by volunteers.
biometrics show 14 characteristics, including gender, age, race, and charm, personality quirks, and emotional stability.
the longer a person stands in front of the mirror, the more personalized the evaluation features tend to be. Dr Nils Waters, the project's lead developer at the
, said biometric scones were not psychoanalytic tools and the results were only estimates made by calculation.
limitation is its limited accuracy because it is designed to refer only to a relatively small, crowdsourced dataset.
"It is not appropriate to draw meaningful conclusions about the psychological state of the detector from the biometric mirror."
," he said.
