Air Liquide and Sinopec New Joint Venture Company Unveiled in Beijing

On July 13, Air Liquide China and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation Beijing Yanshan Branch (Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical Company) jointly inaugurated the newly established joint venture Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Air Liquid Gas Co.

The equity ratio of both parties to the joint venture is 50:50

The joint venture company will upgrade the existing air separation unit to improve the safety and reliability of the equipment

In addition, Air Liquide’s engineering and manufacturing team will design and manufacture a new nitrogen generator for the joint venture

The joint venture will supply industrial gases including oxygen and nitrogen to Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical Company.
The daily oxygen production and daily nitrogen production will reach 340 tons and 1,110 tons respectively
.
It is reported that the cooperation between Air Liquide China and Sinopec first began in 2007

is the third joint venture established by the two parties
