Am J Transl Res: The effect of propofol combined with estamine anesthesia induction on perioperative stress and inflammation and postoperative cognition in elderly patients

purpose

To analyze the effects of propofol combined with esketamine anesthesia induction on perioperative stress, inflammatory response and postoperative cognition in elderly patients.

method

80 elderly surgical patients were randomly divided into a control group (n=40) and an experimental group (n=40).

result

The levels of epinephrine, norepinephrine, endothelin, C-reactive protein, leukocytes, and procalcitonin in the two groups of patients at T1 did not change significantly compared with those at T0.

Note: (Before anesthesia (T0), at the beginning of anesthesia (T1), 30 minutes after anesthesia (T2), at the end of the operation (T3), 12 hours after the operation (T4))

in conclusion

Propofol combined with esketamine for anesthesia induction, has good safety and reliability, can improve hemodynamics, surgical stress and inflammatory response, shorten the anesthesia time, promote postoperative cognitive function recovery, and have relatively mild adverse reactions .
