Arkema recently announced plans to build a new top-level polyester powder resin production facility at its resin production base in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
.
The total investment of the project is about 15 million US dollars, including a new production unit and a dedicated laboratory that can provide application development and technical support at the same time.
It is expected to be completed in 2018
.
This is the first case in India.
The new production facility will be used to produce REAFREE® brand polyester powder resin
.
Polyester powder coatings are widely used in industrial coatings, as well as in the automotive and construction industries
.
The investment is expected to provide strong support to powder coating customers to cope with the rapid development of the market
.
