According to relevant media reports, as of May 30, Zhejiang has inspected more than 16,000 hazardous chemical companies at all levels and departments, of which 206 have been suspended for rectification, and 484 have been filed for investigation.

It is reported that during the rectification period, the relevant departments of Zhejiang Province strictly followed the "ten must" requirements such as the inspection must bring experts, the inspection must complete the checklist, the major hidden hazards must be listed for supervision, and the listed hidden hazards must be closed for acceptance.

During this "Safety Production Month" event in Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang will create "seven batches" activities centering on public concern, public participation, and public support.

The Emergency Management Department recently stated that it will conduct the second round of unannounced visits to chemical companies nationwide, and send 7 working groups to Zhejiang, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Hunan, Yunnan, Chongqing, Guangdong and other 7 provinces and cities to conduct spot checks on chemical parks and enterprises.

It is understood that chemical companies in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, Jinzhong City in Shanxi Province, Jingdezhen City in Jiangxi Province, Huzhou City in Zhejiang Province, and Huizhou City in Guangdong Province have all been found by relevant personnel of the Emergency Management Department to have potential safety hazards.

According to the latest news, the accident was caused by the fall of coke sprayed from the furnace and 2 people were killed.
