BASF invests in new mobile emission catalyst production facilities

On December 26th it was announced that BASF, the German chemical giant, was investing in a new mobile emission catalyst production facility in Pudong, Shanghai. Covering an area of 30,000 square meters, the new plant will have multiple production lines to provide heavy and light vehicle manufacturers with a full range of emission control technologies.
construction of the facility is under way and is scheduled to be launched by the end of
2019
. The new plant will produce innovative catalysts for gasoline and diesel cars in the growing Chinese market.
these catalysts will help automotive customers meet stricter emissions control requirements before China Phase VI is implemented in 2020.
