cn report: Recently, Bayer said it will launch a new herbicide -diflufenican to the North American market .
Diflufenac will be launched under the Convintro ™ brand around 2025 to prevent and control the two most common weeds faced by farmers-amaranth and amaranth.
Before obtaining EPA approval, Convintro products will be provided to soybean growers for clearing the field before sowing and pre-emergence applications.
In addition, this herbicide will become a new weed control tool for corn growers.
Robert Schrick, head of Bayer’s crop protection business, said: “Diflufenac has been used in Europe for many years to control broad-leaved weeds in crops such as lentils and winter cereals.
A fluoride-containing material has been added to soybean and corn planting.
The plant protection products of the active ingredient of acetamide not only provide a new site of action for the prevention and control of amaranth and amaranth in soybeans and corn, but also provide farmers with another tool to increase weed management programs.

"
Having new sites of action will help soybean growers control weeds that affect yield, but Schrick points out that a balanced management approach is still the right approach.
Schrick said: "In terms of weed management, the best practice is still to use multiple sites of action.
Years of coverage and crop management programs will help farmers avoid issues such as resistance to pesticides.

Today, when the importance of new tools for crop protection is constantly being emphasized, Bayer's commitment to farmer-centric solutions covers its broad product portfolio.
Bayer recognizes that farmers are facing increasing challenges in managing pests and is working with them to provide solutions that will lay the foundation for their future success.

Bayer's crop protection product research covers new and old chemicals, and gives different views on some of these old issues.
Frank Rittemann, Product Manager for Corn, Soybean and Cotton Herbicides at Bayer, added: “Effective options for integrated weed management are necessary.
We are studying chemical agents to control some of the most challenging pests for farmers.
We rely on science.
Bring these options to the market, including previously unexplored sites.
