Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a respiratory disease in which individuals experience intermittent and periodic airflow reductions caused by obstruction of the upper airway outside the chest.

Sleep is very important for consolidating memory.

This study used the established psychophysiological conditioned fear suppression and elimination paradigm to evaluate the efficacy of CPAP in the treatment of patients with OSA and without PTSD.

    Screening diagnosis

In this study, it was found that the associative learning of OSA patients was largely complete, because these individuals showed a conditioned fear of strengthening CS+ and the ability to distinguish between danger (CS+) and safety (CS-) cues.

Poor sleep quality has a profound impact on obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, which can exacerbate existing and emerging general medical and psychological problems.
