    Researchers from the Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering Technology (SIBEBT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have revealed the reasons for the inevitable occurrence of multidrug resistance in the process of tumor treatment through long-term research on the mechanism of tumor multidrug resistan.

    Of these three chemicals, doxorubicin is a substrate for the ABC transporter and chemotherapeutic drugs, while ethanol and hydrogen peroxide are small-molecule compounds that have nothing to do with the function of the ABC transport.


    "When these three substances enter cells, they cause significant oxidative stress within the cells," Yin sa.


    Elevated oxidative stress induces the expression of transporters, which can reduce intracellular oxidative stress by releasing oxidized glutathio.


    Their results show that non-substrate chemicals can also induce ABC transporter expression similar to chemotherapeutic drugs after inducing oxidative dama.


    These conclusions confirm the relationship between multidrug resistance mechanisms and oxidative stre.
