Cell Reports: Scientists have discovered a conversion system for information processing and memory

"Researchers are trying to identify neural circuits that have specialized functions, but there are too many tasks that the brain performs.

This new discovery shows that the brain functions more effectively than previously realized

Fenton added: “When the same circuit performs more than one function, collaboration, creativity, and economic interaction become possible

To explore the role of brain circuits, the researchers examined the hippocampus of mice, a brain structure that has long been thought to play an important role in memory

Analysis of neural activity revealed that the hippocampus has changed

“The railroad switch controls the destination of each train, and the denticles transform the information processing of the hippocampus from encoding to memory,” Fenton observed
