The RNA virus (RNA virus) is a major threat to human healthThe life cycle of many highly pathogenic RNA viruses, such as influenza A virus (IAV) and Lassa virus, depends on the host's mRNA, as the viral polymerase cleavages 5'-m7G-modified host transcripts to facilitate the synthesis of viral mRNA ('cap-snatching')the researchers speculated that the initial cryptonosic in the cap-snatch host transcript scribpens could produce a chimeric human-viral mRNA with coding potentialrecently, researchers reported the existence of this gene origin mechanism and named it 'start-up-snatching'According to the reading framework, start-snatch allows the translation of the host and virus's 'non-translation area' (UTRs), creating N-end-extended viral proteins or completely novel peptides through gene overprintingresearchers have shown that both types of chimeric proteins can be produced in cells of IAVinfectedand cause T-cell reactions that help to improve viralitytherefore, the results suggest that a host-dependent mechanism allows mixed genes to occur during IAV infection and possibly during many other human, animal, and plant virus infections
