    China implements new labeling regulations for imported frozen products

    From SeafoodNews on December 13th, China requires imported products to adopt new labeling regulations.
    The inner and outer packaging of products are required to be labelled.
    The label content includes: manufacturer information, name of goods, name of fishing vessel, fishing area, and company registration number, Export- related addresses, including information on fishing areas, processing locations, shipping vessels and warehouses

    The regulations will be implemented in early 2022

    Alexey Buglak, chairman of the Russian Cod Association (ADM), said that the new requirements are difficult to achieve, and implementation will result in a substantial increase in costs

    To meet the new requirements, the annual cost of frozen cod is about 45 million U.
