Australian company Neometals recently signed a memorandum of understanding with China's Jiuxing Titanium Materials (Liaoning) on the Barrambie titanium vanadium alloy project in Western Australia.
The Mining Technology website reported on the 16th that according to the memorandum of understanding, the two parties will evaluate the structure and key commercial terms.
Neometals will supply mixed or single ilmenite and vanadium-titanium alloy refined from the mine to Jiuxing as the underwriter.
Neometals plans to provide Jiuxing with 100 tons of refined ore for commercial-scale smelting projects by the fourth quarter of this year.
In this regard, Neometals general manager Chris Reed said: “This MOU is an exciting milestone for the Neometals and Barrambie projects.
”
