    Bimal Sharma , a doctoral student in the tree ring and environmental evolution group of the Banna Botanical Garden , collected a total of 90 Toona ciliata plants in two regions, Jingdong (subtropical) and Xishuangbanna (tropical), Yunnan, under the guidance of his supervisor, Researcher Fan Zexin .


    The related results were published in the forestry journal Dendrochronologia under the title of " Warming induced tree-growth decline of Toona ciliata in (sub-) tropical southwestern China  " .


    The research was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China General Program, International (regional) Cooperative Research and Exchange Program, and Yunnan Province's " Young Top Talent Program " .
