Researchers searched the MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane, and Scopus databases from December 1, 2019 to January 10, 2021, and determined observational studies or randomized clinical trials to evaluate the efficacy of ECMO in adult patients with COVID-19 ARDS

The researchers included 22 observational studies with 1896 patients in the meta-analysis
