Recently, CNOOC Ningbo Daxie Petrochemical Company's 300,000-ton/year dilute ethylene-to-ethylbenzene plant constructed using Sinopec SGEB's dilute ethylene-to-ethylbenzene technology successfully started up at one time.
This is currently the world's largest plant using this technology

This technology is jointly developed by Shanghai Petrochemical Research Institute, Petrochemical Research Institute and Luoyang Engineering Company
.
In order to ensure the success of this drive, the Shanghai Institute and related units fully carried forward the spirit of teamwork and made preparations for device inspection, rectification, and drive plan confirmation
.
At 10:58 on June 11, the start-up was officially started; at 1 o'clock on the 12th, qualified ethylbenzene products were successfully produced and the whole process was completed
.
This start-up marks the realization of Sinopec’s SGEB dilute ethylene-to-ethylbenzene complete set of technology from 120,000 tons/year to 300,000 tons/year.
It has accumulated valuable experience for the large-scale production of similar equipment in the future, and has a great impact on oil refineries.
The efficient use of production resources and the promotion of China’s ethylbenzene/styrene technology progress are of great significance
