May 23, 2017May 23, 2017, the first meeting of the 9th Council of the Chinese Nutrition Society was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing. The new Council fully affirmed the fruitful results achieved by the 8th Council and its leading role in the development of nutrition disciplines in China. All the members of the meeting focused on the goal of building a healthy China, discussed and reached a stage consensus on major issues such as the direction of the development of nutrition disciplines, the supply side of nutrition science and technology and the power of demand side. The new Council will play a collective wisdom and leadership role in the next four years' work and play an active role in promoting the creation of a new situation in the cause of nutrition in China.. At the initiative of Chairman Professor Yang Yuanxin, the new Board of Governors formed the Conference Declaration on the Full Implementation of the < Healthy China 2030 Planning Outline> to further promote the development of China's nutritional and health undertakings. The full text is as follows: I. To "Healthy China" as the goal, comprehensively promote nutrition work resolutely implement the spirit of the Outline of Planning, "Healthy China, nutrition first" as the general principle, with "prevention first" as the focus, go all out and work together to serve social development and national needs.2. Establish a system for the publication of dietary guidelines for Chinese residents, and constantly improve the dietary guidelines for different groups of people in order to effectively reduce the rate of nutritional deficiency diseases, slow down the growth rate of overweight and obese people, effectively popularize healthy living, and improve the level of public nutrition security in China.fourth, strengthen clinical nutrition work, and effectively implement the role and status of nutrition in disease treatment promote the application of nutrition assessment and treatment in the health care system, establish and improve clinical nutrition working methods and techniques; standardize clinical nutrition treatment pathways and dietary treatment standards; and study and improve dietary methods for special medical use formula foods and other complementary treatments.5.
