Brominated epoxy resin can usually be divided into low, medium and high according to the molecular weight.
Low molecular weight is suitable for flame retardant ABS and HIPS, high molecular weight is suitable for ABS/PC polymers, PBT and nylon6,66

Brominated epoxy resin is also divided into EP type and EC type
according to different end groups.
Compared with EC type, EP type has better light fastness but slightly lower bromine content, while the latter flame retardant ABS and HIPS have better impact strength
