On April 20, Dongyang Sunshine issued an announcement stating that its holding subsidiary, Dongguan Yangzhikang Pharmaceutical Co.

Escitalopram is used to treat depression and is a single dextrorotatory optical isomer of citalopram, a bicyclic hydrogen phthalate derivative.

Escitalopram is a category A product in the 2020 edition of the National Basic Medical Insurance, Work Injury Insurance and Maternity Insurance Drug List, and it is also a category in the 2018 edition of the National Essential Drug List.

The product is escitalopram, one of the 27 generic drugs purchased by Yichang Dongyang Yangtze Pharmaceutical Co.
