pasta
't necessarily good for your health. People who eat large amounts of
carbohydrates, such as pasta
, are more likely to suffer from depression, according to a new study by researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health.researchers looked at
relationship between car
bohydrate consumption and depression through follow-up follow-up over 12 to 12 years. They gathered
43
,000 women with no history of depression, asked about their diet and monitored their blood test results. The results showed that women who ate red meat and refined grains (i.e. fine grains such as bread, noodles, macaroni and French fries) were
29% to 41% more likely to be diagnosed with depression or treated for depression.
, carbohydrates also have a negative effect on their levels of inflammation.the researchers were unable to explain the specific causes of the study, they provided a list of foods that reduced the risk and inflammation of depression, including olive oil, coffee, wine, fish and vegetables.
