Scientists have developed a new environmentally curable coating based on acetyl acetylated castor oil using Knoevenagel's co-combined technology.
acetyl acetylated castor oil is synthesized by the reaction of castor oil and acetyl acetate, and the aphonic dihydralde is used as an crosslinker to cure the film at ambient temperature (25 degrees C).
Prepared with different aromatic dioxin crosslinkers
scientists optimized the curing conditions of the coating and found that the ratio of acetyl acetylated castor oil to diacetaldehyde group was 1:0.75 and the catalyst load was 7.5wt, providing an appropriate curing time, and the coating had the best performance
China
.
addition, they prepared films with different aromatic dformal crosslinkers and indicated the mechanical and thermal properties of these films.
