    ESO
, a leading data and software company, recently
announced the acquisition of Clinical Data Management (CDM), a trauma registration software services company, to expand its portfolio in the trauma registration market. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in the acquisition.

2004, ESO is headquartered in Texas and is committed to improving the health and safety of communities through the power of data. The company provides software and data solutions to more than 13,000 fire departments, emergency medical services (EMS) institutions and hospitals across the United States, including industry-leading ESO Electronic Health Records (EHR), ESO Health Data Exchange (HDE) services, the first of its kind for medical interoperability platforms, fire department records management systems (RMS) and ambulance revenue billing software.

as an innovative leader in trauma registration software, CDM has a 30-year history of registering systems that verify the accuracy of hospital data, determine whether it meets state or regional data collection requirements, and perform product status monitoring and performance improvement tracking and maintenance. In addition to TrumaBase, the company's flagship product, ESO will acquire all CDM trauma-related software products, including the company's trauma registry and related customers.

, ESO completed six rounds of financing totalling $39.6 million, the last of which was $15.5 million in October 2017, according to Crunchbase. At the same time as CDM was acquired, ESO also announced the acquisition of two other similar companies, Digital Innovation and Lancet. By combining three businesses with its industry-leading ESO EHR and ESO HDE offerings, ESO will have the largest combined trauma registry center in the United States, providing more comprehensive data services to EMS and hospitals. Including the three companies, ESO has completed acquisitions of a total of six organizations.

Dillie, President and CEO of ESO, said: "Similar to the acquisitions of Digital Innovation and Lancet, the acquisition of EDM provides us with another strong entry point into the trauma registration market. EDM is a pioneer in the development of trauma registration software technology. We believe that the integration of CDM products with our product suite will provide hospitals and EMS with more comprehensive information, increasing opportunities for improvement in patient care. Jody Summers

CDM, said, "Data and analytics are a powerful driver for healthcare as a whole, and ESO understands the value of data and focuses more on patient safety. We are excited to be part of the ESO family and continue to drive change in the industry through our technological innovations. The
