Evonik, together with Lanxess and Xintema, launched a joint search service for professional product information for the coatings industry, aiming to help improve the transparency of the coatings market, reduce the workload of formulators, and create an industry-level cooperation network
Gaetano Blanda, Head of the Coating Additives business line at Evonik, said: “COATINO® is not a simple raw material database, but a comprehensive platform that provides detailed information and practical advice around coating and ink formulations
On the COATINO® official website ( users can choose different categories of raw materials and manufacturers, and can also set filter conditions based on core product characteristics, such as food contact grade, eco-label, VOC content, regional availability, etc.
Daniela Schmitt, Coatings Marketing Manager of the Inorganic Pigments business unit at LANXESS, said: "COATINO® can provide users with a precise and considerate raw material screening service to help them develop the ideal formulation
Currently, 15 companies have joined the formulation network, including raw material producers, hardware and equipment manufacturers, and technical service companies
