Eyre Ophthalmology acquires ISEC Healthcare, an ophthalmology clinic

, Aier Eye Hospital Group announced its $48.3 million acquisition of Ophthalmology clinic ISEC Healthcare.ISEC Healthcare is an ophthalmology medical and nursing service provider with outpatient and surgical centers in Malaysia and Singapore. The group's shareholders are mostly professional ophthalmologists who treat patients with cataracts, glass retinal diseases, cornea and outer eye diseases, glaucosis, vineitis and squint. ISEC Healthcare's surgical centers can perform resceding surgery such as LASIK, eye forming, and child ophthalmology.ISEC Healthcare's ophthalmologists work with renowned Malaysian university medical schools to provide patients with specialized ophthalmology and care services. The Group's specialists have extensive clinical experience in renowned ophthalmology centres in Singapore, India, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. ISEC Healthcare says its specialists have been involved in ophthalmology drug research and clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies, are opinion leaders in the field of ophthalmology, and have a strong presence in international ophthalmology care.Dr. Fang Shengkang, co-founder of ISEC Healthcare, is an expert in ophthalmology and currently chairs the Group Medical Committee and consultant ophthalmologist. In addition, Dr. Fang is the current Chairman of the Malaysian Association Technology Association (MSO).ISEC Healthcare's Li Hongming Eye Centre in Gleneagles, UK, is led by dr. Hongming Li, an ophthalmology professional. Dr. Li is a well-known cataract therapist, especially specializing in corneal transplantation and retractment surgery.ISEC Healthcare opened the ISEC KL Outpatient and Surgical Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The center covers an area of approximately 23,000 square feet and has 15 consulting rooms and four operating rooms. ISEC KL is equipped with state-of-the-art ophthalmology equipment and has established electronic medical records and medical data recording systems. The centre has 12 full-time ophthalmologists and 2 ophthalmologists who provide services such as eye disease counselling, ophthalmological diagnosis and general anaesthetic.As early as 2013, ISEC KL performed more than 5,000 major eye surgeries, serving more than 70,000 patients. The center is the first JCI-certified ophthalmology center in Southeast Asia.
