World agricultural nets Chinese news report: Currently, Ukraine is in the approval of agricultural products and food in chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos-methyl maximum residue levels allowed content of 0.
01 mg / L in the final stages
    .
The resolution was approved by the Ministry of Health’s draft directive "Approving the Maximum Allowable Limits of Chlorpyrifos and Chlorpyrifos Methyl in Agricultural Products and Foods and Revising the Hygiene Standards and Regulations for the Safe Use of Pesticides and Pesticides .
" After signing the formalities as planned, the directive will take effect on January 1, 2022 .

It is worth mentioning that the reason for this resolution is that EU countries have increased the standards for chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos methyl residues in various agricultural products, and the EU standards will be implemented from November 13, 2020
    .

As one of the main markets for Ukrainian agricultural products, the European Union accounts for about 25-30% of the agricultural products exported by Ukraine to EU countries
    .
Therefore, coordinating the relationship between domestic regulatory documents and EU directives is a matter of minimizing trade risks and ensuring the competitiveness of agricultural products
    .
Most importantly, it also concerns the health of consumers
    .
From the perspective of Ukrainian exports, the problem of exceeding the pesticide residue limit is mainly oilseed (sunflower, soybean, rapeseed) and vegetable oil (because it is fat-soluble)
    .
In addition, grains also have this problem (because chlorpyrifos is used for processing in grain warehouses)
    .

According to the National Register of Pesticides and Agrochemicals of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, there are currently about 40 products containing chlorpyrifos and/or chlorpyrifos methyl registered in Ukraine
    .
Crop protection products containing these two active ingredients are used to treat grains, oilseeds and vegetable crops
    .
According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics of Ukraine, in 2019, about 3 million hectares of farmland in Ukraine used pesticide products containing chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos methyl
    .

In the past year, active public discussions have continued on the issue of whether Ukraine should follow the EU's lead and set the allowable levels of chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos methyl in law
    .
The opinions of market participants, national institutions and industry associations are mixed.
Some believe that this measure is necessary, while others believe that agricultural producers have the right to decide on their own which pesticides they can use
    .
