Fuzhou Customs seized the case of smuggling frozen durian

Recently, the Fuzhou Customs Anti-smuggling Bureau dispatched 25 police officers, divided into 5 action groups, to carry out a unified network operation for a food company smuggling frozen durian case in Fuqing, Fuzhou .
A total of 5 persons involved were arrested, 2 persons were detained, and 3 persons were released on bail.
Approximately 1,300 tons of smuggled frozen durian (worth about RMB 70 million) were seized at the scene .
After preliminary verification, the case is worth about 800 million yuan .

According to investigations, since 2014, a food company in Fuqing City, through its overseas company established in Thailand, has purchased durians and initially processed them into frozen durian meat, smuggled them into the country at a low price, and then processed them into freeze-dried durian products.
