The plant will produce and provide sodium hydroxide to meet all the sodium hydroxide needs of Universal Aluminum's AlTaweelah aluminum smelter for 15 years

The plant will be built near the AlTaweelah base of Global Aluminum, covering an area of 300,000 square meters, with room for further expansion

The annual production capacity of the first phase of the project is 130,000 tons of sodium hydroxide and 160,000 tons of ethylene dichloride

The second phase of the project will double the production capacity of sodium hydroxide and start the production of vinyl chloride and polyvinyl chloride
