Guangxi issued the "14th Five-Year Plan" for high-quality fishery development

Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region formulated and issued the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the high-quality development of fishery (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), which systematically summarized the main achievements of fishery development in the "13th Five-Year Plan", comprehensively analyzed the foundation of industrial development, development opportunities and challenges, and made overall arrangements
for the high-quality development of fishery in the region during the 14th Five-Year Plan according to the actual situation of fishery development.

The "Plan" puts forward that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Guangxi will take the promotion of fishery supply-side structural reform as the main line, take ecological health and sustainable development as the direction, establish a large food concept, ask rivers and lakes for food, stabilize production and ensure supply as the premise, build and improve the modern fishery industry system, production system and management system as the way, and strengthen service supervision, administrative law enforcement and support capacity building as the guarantee, and promote the progress from a fishery region to a strong fishery region
.

According to the Plan, by 2025, the total economic output value of Guangxi's fishery will reach 160 billion yuan, of which the total economic output value of marine fishery will reach 100 billion yuan, the total economic output value of freshwater fishery will reach 60 billion yuan, the total output of aquatic products will reach 3.
8 million tons, and the aquaculture area will reach 3 million mu.
Marine fishing output is controlled within 475,000 tons, fishery output value reaches 73 billion yuan, more than 10 national-level aquatic healthy aquaculture and ecological aquaculture demonstration areas have been established, and a number of national aquatic green and healthy aquaculture "five major actions" backbone demonstration bases
have been created.

According to the different conditions of fishery resources, industrial foundation, comparative advantages, and carrying capacity of resources and environment in Guangxi, the Plan puts forward a modern fishery development layout of "one core, one belt and three zones", builds a development layout of aquatic seed industry of "protection of aquatic germplasm resources, innovation center of seed industry, and base of seed industry advantage", and optimizes the layout
of aquatic product processing and circulation.

In addition, Guangxi will also promote the high-quality development of fisheries in terms of ensuring the effective supply of aquatic products, promoting the revitalization of aquatic seed industry, strengthening scientific and technological innovation in fisheries, building a coordinated aquaculture system for deep seas and nearshores, promoting the construction of ten major parks, orderly developing marine fishing production, comprehensively deepening the development of
export-oriented fisheries, strengthening comprehensive fishery service capabilities, and improving the aquaculture production and management system.
