September 19th, the 2019 International Conference on Hemp Industry was held in Beijing, co-sponsored by the China Textile Industry Federation and the China Forestry Industry Federation, and co-sponsored by the National Hemp Industry Alliance, the Institute of Hemp of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences.
mentions Hemp, many people don't quite understand what Han hemp is. "Hemp, a genus of Sankoh, refers to cannabis varieties that have been artificially selected and approved (identified or registered) by crop varieties, with a plant population with less than 0.3% tyhydrocannabinol content (percentage of dry matter) at the top of the flowering leaves and flowers, and no available cannabis varieties that extract drugs or are used directly as drugs." Liu Xueqiang, Secretary General of the National Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation of High Value Special Biological Resources Industry, was presented at the meeting.
For the application of hemp in the food industry, Liu Xueqiang said, hemp seeds are rich in unsaturated fatty acids, essential amino acids and vitamin C, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and beta-carotene, as well as iron, zinc, calcium, potassium and other minerals. Compared with other vegetable oils, the content of unsaturated fatty acids in hempseed oil accounted for 89%-93% of fatty acids, and the content of essential fatty acids was higher than 80%. The ratio of flaxic acid and alpha-flax acid in hemp seeds is between 2.29 and 4.68, which is in line with the proportion of human nutrition intake. In addition, hemp seed oil is rich in plant sterols, including 6 kinds of sterols, 4 kinds of 4 kinds of 4-methylsterols and 4 kinds of triamcinolone, of which B-glutasterol content is the most abundant. B-glutasterol has a significant effect on reducing serum cholesterol, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
liu Xueqiang said that the effective use of hemp seed functional ingredients, the development of hemp seed functional food, health food or medicine, not only for the development of the Hemp industry plays an important role, but also conducive to people's health. At present, the research and development of hemp seed products has become one of the hot spots in the industry. Hemp seed oil, hemp protein powder, hemp polypeptide and other products have come close to the lives of consumers, but high value-added functional products still need to be further research and development, I hope that scientific research units and enterprises in the future to increase research and development efforts to enhance its added value, to contribute to people's health.
Through academic reports, product display, exchange docking and other forms, the conference can not only show the outside world the strong strength of China's Han hemp industry and broad market prospects, so that more people understand and familiar with Han hemp, but also can drive domestic and foreign leading enterprises in the field of Han hemp to form a joint force, and constantly explore and innovate cooperation mechanisms to jointly promote the healthy and sustainable development of China's Han hemp industry.
